The PAACB, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded by members of the Pan American Aerobiology Association training and certification committee to address the need for verification of identification skills of analysts involved in airborne pollen and spores. Participation in PAACB activities is strictly voluntary.

Mission

The mission of the PAACB is to promote accuracy in the identification and quantification of airborne fungal spores and pollen grains by conferring certification to analysts who demonstrate a specific level of knowledge of aerobiology, and competency in microscopic identification.

Organizational Structure

The PAACB consists of a Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Scientific Committee. The day to day operations of the PAACB are handled by a PAACB administrator.

Spore Analyst Certification

The PAACB spore analyst certification program covers the practical approaches to sample analyses, basic mycology, identification of commonly encountered spores, and calculation of concentrations from raw counts.
